Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Bag Valve Mask (BVM) is covered along with what to do if someone is choking. A written test will be administered along with a skills assessment during the course.

HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal Basic Life Support (BLS) Course. This course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills.
This 30-minute session is taken once the online portion is completed. You can register for an in-person skills check session below. Please bring your Photo I.D. and a copy of the course completion certificate. We only recognize American Heart Association (AHA) certificates.
